Top 14 Excuses For Not Wearing Hijab

Allah has made wearing hijaab an obligation upon the woman as a safeguard of her chastity and protection of her honor and sign of her Imaan. Hijaab is not a piece of cloth on your head. It also includes that you be covered decently, from head to toe, something not tight, or see-through nor elaborate. It is also a manner in which you carry yourself….with dignity and honor…. that reflects your pride in this religion of Islam. Unfortunately, many sisters have either given it up completely or they don't understand the full implication of Hijaab.

Excuse # 1:
I am not ready yet!

Reply:
When will you be ready? When the angel of Death knocks on your door? Or will you be ready when you say; "Alas, my grief that I was undutiful to Allah and I was indeed among those who mocked (at the truth)." (Az-Zumar:56) The question that you have to ask yourself is… Will you EVER be ready?

Excuse # 2:
I'm not yet convinced (of the necessity) of hijaab.

Reply:
Are you truly convinced of the correctness of the religion of Islam? If you are convinced of Islam, how then can you not be convinced of its orders? For Allah has commanded wearing hijaab in His Book and the noble Prophet (pbuh)has commanded wearing the hijaab in his Sunnah.

Excuse #3:
I am convinced of Islamic dress but my Husband/Mother prevents me from wearing it and if I disobey him/her I will go to the Fire.

Reply:
Does your husband/mother deserve more obedience than Allaah? Do you want to please them while you displease Allaah?

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "There is no obedience to the created in the disobedience of Allah." [Ahmed]

Remember, your husband/mother won't be there to answer for you on Day of Judgment.

Excuse #4 :
I know that hijaab is obligatory, but I will wear it when Allah guides me to do so.

Reply:
So what steps have you taken to deserve Allah's guidance such as: Supplicating Allah sincerely: "Guide us to the Straight Path." [Al-Faatihah:6]; or Keeping company with the righteous good sisters- for they are among the best to assist you to guidance until Allah guides you. If you are really serious about seeking guidance you would really exert yourself. Remember, Allah will never guide you unless YOU SEEK TO BE GUIDED.

Excuse #5 :
I'm still too young for wearing hijaab. I'll do it when I get older and after I make Hajj!

Reply:
Can you guarantee even a single breath of yours, let alone a whole lifetime?

"When their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it and hour (or a moment)." [Al-An'aam:34].

What if it is too late?? What if you were "going to wear hijaab later" and death came to you before that? Would you be able to stand in front of Allah and face Him?

Excuse #6:
Hijaab is of the "eyes/heart". As long as my heart is pure, I don't need hijaab

Reply:
Are you and "your heart" better than the Sahaba and our Ummahaat, the wives of the Prophet (pbuh)? No heart is purer than them and no one is more pious. When they covered themselves from top to bottom, and recognized this as an order from Allaah, how dare we think this does not apply to us?

Excuse #7:
It is too hot to wear the the hijaab!

Reply:
How can you compare the heat of this earth to the heat of the Hellfire?

"The Fire of Hell is more intense in heat if they only understand." [At-Taubah:81]

Know that the Shaytaan wants to drag you from the heat of this world to the heat of the Hellfire. And remember tha t Jannah is surrounded by hardships and toil, while Hellfire is surrounded by temptations, lusts and desires.

Excuse#8:
If I wear the hijaab I might take it off later on because I have seen so many people do so!!

Reply:
If everyone was to apply this logic then they would have left the Deen in its entirety! They would have left off Salaat because some would be afraid of leaving it later. They would have left fasting in Ramadan because so many are afraid of not doing it later, etc. Don't you see how Shaytaan has trapped you and tricked you into disobeying Allaah? "If they had done what they were told, it would have been better for them and would have strengthened their faith." [ Al-Baqarah:66] If you hold tight to the laws of Allah, you will taste the sweetness of faith and you will not neglect the orders of Allah after having held on to them.

Excuse #9:
If I wear the hijaab then nobody will marry me, so I'm going to leave it off until then.

Reply:
Any husband who desires that you be uncovered and adorned in public in defiance of and in disobedience to Allah, is not a worthy husband in the first place. A home which is founded upon disobedience to Allah is doomed to misery and hardship in this life and in the Hereafter. As Allah stated: "But whosoever turns away from My reminder (i.e. neither believes in the Qur'aan nor acts upon its teachings) verily for him is a life of hardship and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." [Ta Ha:124]

Excuse #10:
None of my friends wear it and if I do, I won't fit in

Reply:
Friends like these don't deserve your company. The Prophet (pbuh) warned us of keeping bad company. It is "friends" like these who will take a person to the Fire and he will say:

"Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as my friend. He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (Qur'an) after it had come to me. And Shaytaan is to man ever a deserter in the hour of need." (Al-Furqan:28-29)

Excuse #11:
If I wear the hijaab, I will lose my job!

Reply:
To this I say: Is it your "hair and body" that got you the job or is it Allaah that provides me and you and everything else that is on the face of the earth with its Rizq? And even if you do lose that job, it would be a test of your faith and soon Allah will provide for you a much better job, where you can wear the hijaab.

"And whoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty) and He will provide him from sources he never could imagine" [Soorah At-Talaaq:2-3]

Excuse#12:
My position does not allow me to substitute my dress for Islamic dress.

Reply:
Honor and position is something determined by Allah and it is not due to embellishment of clothing and show of colors and keeping up with the trendsetters. It is rather due to obedience to Allah and His Messenger (s) and following the pure law of Allah and correct Islamic hijaab.

"Indeed, the most honorable amongst you are those who are the most pious." [Surah Al-Hujuraat:35]

Do things so that you may seek Allah's pleasure and enter His Jannah and give less value to the high priced and costly objects and wealth of this world.

Excuse#13:
Allah has blessed me with silky soft hair and beauty. How can I cover it up while Allah says: "And proclaim the grace of your Rabb"[Ad-Duhaa :11]

Reply:
Do you follow the Book of Allah and its commands as long as they coincide with your personal desires and understanding and leave behind those matters that don't please you? If you follow this Ayaah, then there are other Ayaahs in the Quran as well:

"And do not show off their adornment except only that which is apparent." (An-Noor:31) and "Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks all over their bodies." [Al-Ahzaab:59] And remember, there is no greater blessing and favor upon the woman than guidance and hijaab.

Excuse #14:
I'm afraid that if I wear Islamic clothing that I'll be labeled as belonging to some group or another and I hate partisanship.

Reply:
My sister in Islam, there are only two parties in Islam, and they are both mentioned by Allah Almighty in His Noble Book. The first party is the party of Allah (hizbullah) that He gives victory to because of their obedience to His commands and staying away from what He has forbidden. The second party is the party of the Shaitaan (hizbush-Shaitaan) which disobeys Allaah and increase corruption in the earth. When you hold tight to and adhere to the commands of Allah (among them is wearing the hijaab) - you then become a part of the successful party of Allah. When you beautify and display your charms you are riding in the boat of Shaytaan and his friends, the hypocrites and the disbelievers.

In Conclusion

Your body is on display in the market of Shaytaan seducing the hearts of men. The hairstyles, the tight clothing showing every detail of your figure, the showy, decorative and fragrant clothing all angers Ar-Rahmaan and pleases the Shaytaan. Every day that passes while you are in this condition, distances you further from Allah and brings you closer to Shaytaan. Each day curses and anger are directed toward you from the heavens until you repent. Every day brings you closer to the grave and the Angel of Death is ready to capture your soul.

Mars starts using animal products

Mars, Snickers and Twix chocolate bars
Masterfoods' brands are household names
Some of the UK's best-selling chocolate bars, such as Mars and Twix, will no longer be suitable for vegetarians.

Also affecting brands such as Snickers and Maltesers, owner Masterfoods said it had started to use animal product rennet to make its chocolate products.

Masterfoods said the change was due to it switching the sourcing of its ingredients and the admission was a "principled decision" on its part.

The Vegetarian Society said the company's move was "incomprehensible".

'Extremely disappointed'

Masterfoods said it had started using rennet from 1 May and non-affected products had a "best before date" up to 1 October.

Masterfoods' decision to use non-vegetarian whey is a backward step
Vegetarian Society

Rennet, a chemical sourced from calves' stomachs, is used in the production of whey.

It will now also be found in Bounty, Minstrels and Milky Way products, and the ice cream versions of all Masterfoods' bars.

"If the customer is an extremely strict vegetarian, then we are sorry the products are no longer suitable, but a less strict vegetarian should enjoy our chocolate," said Paul Goalby, corporate affairs manager for Masterfoods.

The Vegetarian Society said it was "extremely disappointed".

"At a time when more and more consumers are concerned about the provenance of their food, Masterfoods' decision to use non-vegetarian whey is a backward step," it said in a statement.

"Mars products are very popular with young people and many will be shocked to discover that their manufacture now relies on the extraction of rennet from the stomach lining of young calves," it added.

The art of giving gifts

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Rasullallah and the shabas have taught us beautiful ways of living harmoniously. One of the best characters of the Rasullallah and the sahabas is to treat their brothers need more importantly than there own. These hadiths from Bukhari are on gifts.

Narrated Asma bint Abu Bakr (Radhiallaho anho):
My mother came to me during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)and she was a pagan. I said to
Allah's Messenger (seeking his verdict), "My mother has come
to me and she desires to receive a reward from me, shall I
keep good relations with her?" The Prophet said, "Yes, keep
good relation with her."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 789

Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radhiallaho anho):
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "The bad
example is not for us. He who takes back his present is like a
dog that swallows back its vomit."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 791

Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab (Radhiallaho anho):
I gave a horse in Allah's Cause. The person to whom it was
given did not look after it. I intended to buy it from him,
thinking that he would sell it cheap. When I asked the
Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) he said, "Don't buy it,
even if he gives it to you for one Dirham, as the person who
takes back what he has given in charity, is like a dog that
swallows back its vomit."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 792

Narrated Aiman (Radhiallaho anho):
I went to Aisha (Radhiallaho anha) and she was wearing a
coarse dress costing five Dirhams. Aisha said, "Look up and
see my slave-girl who refuses to wear it in the house though
during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi
wasallam) I had a similar dress which no woman desiring to
appear elegant (before her husband) failed to borrow from me."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 796

Narrated Ibn Shihab Az-Zuhri (Radhiallaho anho):
Anas bin Malik (Radhiallaho anho) said, "When the emigrants
came Medina, they had nothing whereas the Ansar had land and
property. The Ansar gave them their land on condition that
the emigrants would give them half the yearly yield and work
on the land and provide the necessaries for cultivation."
His (i.e. Anas's mother who was also the mother of Abdullah
bin Abu Talha), gave some date-palms to Allah's Messenger
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) who gave them to his freed
slave-girl (Um Aiman) who was also the mother of Usama bin
Zaid (Radhiallaho anhuma). When the Prophet finished from
the fighting against the people of Khaibar and returned to
Medina, the emigrants returned to the Ansar the fruit gifts
which the Ansar had given them. The Prophet also returned
to Anas's mother the date-pallms. Allah's Messenger gave
Um Aiman other trees from his garden in lieu of the old
gift.

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 799

Narrated Jabir (Radhiallaho anho):
Some men had superfluous land and they said that they would
give it to others to cultivate on the condition that they
would get one-third or one-fourth or one half of its yield.
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "Whoever has
land should cultivate it himself or give it to his brother
or keep it uncultivated."

Narrated Abu Said (Radhiallaho anho):
A bedouin came to the Prophet and asked him about
emigration. The Prophet said to him, "May Allah be
merciful to you. The matter of emigration is difficult.
Have you got some camels?" He replied in the affirmative.
The Prophet asked him, "Do you pay their Zakat?" He replied
in the affirmative. He asked, "Do you lend them so that their
milk may be utilized by others?" The bedouin said, "Yes."
The Prophet asked, "Do you milk them on the day off watering
them?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet said, "Do good deeds
beyond the merchants (or the sea) and Allah will never
disregard any of your deeds."

Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land

Assalaamualaikum (May peace be upon you),
The following video is on how the Jewish government and the Zionists are controlling the media to oppress the voice of the Palestinians and their struggle against the worlds longest lasting (35 years of ) illegal military occupation. It shows how the Palestinians are systematically wiped out from their ancestral homelands, how they are denied the most basic of needs. The video also has lots of information on how much funding and support the Israeli government gets from the American government and American Organizations.

The video also shows how the American public is mislead by the American media (CNN, ABC, FOX, NBC, MSNBC) which effectively employs linguistics to tell only the Israeli side of the story.

Part 1 of the story.

Part 2 of the story.

Please spread the message. It's the least we can do.

Fiqh of the Beard

The Beard is a order of

Rasulullah [Wajib]

Narrated Nafi' (Radhiallaahu Án) "Ibn Umar (Radhiallaahu Án) said, The Prophet said, "Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 72, Hadith # 780]
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Bakr ibn Nafi from his father Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar (Radhiallaahu Án) that the Messenger of Allah, ordered the moustache to be trimmed and the beard to be left. [Imaam malik's Muwatta Book 51, Hadith # 51.1.1]

It is clear from the stated ahadith that growing the beard is not only a practice (Sunnah) of Rasulullah but also a command for the Muslims in follow (Wajib).

Narrated Aisha (Radhiallaahu Ánha): Rasulullah said:

"Ten things are part of the fitrah: cutting the moustache, letting the beard grow, cleaning
the teeth with a siwak, rinsing the nose with water, cutting one's nails,
washing between the finger-joints, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubic
hair and cleaning one's private parts with water." [Reported by
Imaam Muslims in his Sahih Book 2, Hadith # 0502, also reported by Imaam Ahmad,
Muslim and the four authors of Sunan ]

This hadith further emphasizes the importance of letting you beard grow for a man, as being
from the natural guidance (Fitrah) of the human being.

At Tabari reported in a hadith that Kaiser, the King of Persia, after having read the letter sent by the Rasulullah inviting him to accept the faith of Islam, ordered his sub-ordinate Bayon (Badhun), the governor of Yemen, to send two persons to bring the Prophet of Islam before him. Bayan accordingly sent two messengers who according to the fashion of those days were clean shaven and having long moustaches. When they appeared on the scene toward the Rasulullah , he very much disliked the unnatural appearances of those persons and said; "Woe to you, Woe to you. Who ordered you to adopt such appearances?" They said; "Our lord Kaiser". Rasulullah then told them "My Rabb COMMANDED me to lengthen my beard and clip my moustaches".

[Recorded by Ibn Jarir At-Tabari, and judged to be Hasan (good) by Shaikh
Albaani.]

SubhanAllah here Rasulullah disliked even looking at a man who has gone against the naturalways and shaved the Beard, while keeping a long mustache. Those of us who shave the beard and keep long mustaches while calling ourselves follower and lovers of Rasulullah should think, would we like Him to be disgusted with us due to this mutilation of the unnatural appearances (Fitrah)? This hadith also makes a point in showing that Rasulullah was ordered by Allah to trim his mustache and grow the beard. This hadith is a refutation for those who claim that growing the beard was a custom of the Arabs and indeed this is an order of Allah upon Rasulullah and an order upon the Muslims by Rasulullah .

Allah orders us in the Quran to obey the order of Rasulullah

"Make not the calling of the Messenger among you as your calling of one another. Allah knows those of you who slip away under shelter. And let those who oppose the Messenger's commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship,
statements, etc.) beware, lest some Fitnah (afflictions) befall them or apainful torment be inflicted on them."
[Quran, Surah #24 Ayah #63]

Allah has made clear that those who oppose the Sunnah of Rasulullah are headed for the punishment of Allah.

"And whatever the Prophet gives you, accept it and whatever he forbids you, abstain (from it)"[Quran, Surah #59 Ayah #7]

"The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say: "We hear ,and we obey: (we seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys." [Quran, Surah #2 Ayah #285]

"And obey Allah and the Messenger; that ye may obtain mercy." [Quran, Surah #3 Ayah #132]

" O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and make not vain your deeds!" [Quran,Surah #47 Ayah #33]

"Those are limits set by Allah. those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement." [Quran, Surah #4;Ayah #13]

"In the Messenger of Allah is a good example for you to follow." [Quran Surah#33 Ayah #21]

"So set you (O Muhammad ) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allah Alone) Allah's Fitrah (i.e. Allah's Islamic
Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalqillah
(creation of Allah) , that is the straight religion, but most of men know
not."
[Quran, Surah #30Ayah #30] [Tafsir AtTabarî, Vol 21, Page 41]

The Beard is from the Sunnah of Rasulullah

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radhiallaahu Án)"Rasulullah said, "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is)." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 72, Hadith #781]

Jaabir (Radhiallaahu Án) reported that Rasulullah used to have a large beard [Sahih Muslim].

Narrated AbuHurayrah (Radhiallaahu
Án)
"Rasulullah said
"Trim closely the moustache, and grow beard, and thus act against the
fire-worshippers."
[Sahih Muslim, Book 2, Hadith # 0501]

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (Radhiallaahu Án): Rasulullah said, "There will emerge from the East some people who will recite the Quran but it will not exceed their throats and who will go out of (renounce) the religion (Islam) as an arrow passes through the game, and they will never come back to it unless the arrow, comes back to the middle of the bow (by
itself) (i.e., impossible)." The people asked, "What will their signs be?" He said, "Their sign will be the habit of shaving (of their beards)."
[Sahih Al-Bukhari 9:651] [Fateh Al-Bari, Page 322, Vol. 17th]
